Texas Ranking in Obesity

Texas has the 14th highest adult obesity rate in the nation, and the seventh highest obesity rate for youth ages 10 to 17. Texas’s adult obesity rate is currently 33.0%, up from 21.7% in 2000 and from 10.7% in 1990. This state profile includes data on adult and childhood obesity, obesity-related health issues.

Today’s fitness tip is about moving after school. We want to get up and move around after sitting all day! There are lots of fun things to do after school when our homework is done. Playing outside and doing some simple exercises can be very healthy for our bodies. Here are some fun exercises we can do:
